Kristie Stanfill-Heyworth
Advertising & Marketing Director/Vice President
Kristie obtained her Bachelor of Creative Arts degree from the University of North Carolina Charlotte in 1991. She landed a graphic design internship during her senior year with Discovery Place in uptown Charlotte. After graduation, she began work with a small Advertising and Marketing agency where she learned various aspects of running a successful business such as professional accountability, systemization, and deadlines. Bryan recruited Kristie to head up the Advertising and Marketing for Financial Strategies of Lake Norman Inc. in 1997. Early on, Kristie and Bryan created and defined the corporate image of the business. She is responsible for all advertising and marketing materials and digital communications including our monthly newsletter, weekly market call emails and website. She works with our compliance department to get approval on all advertising and marketing materials and sends monthly reports on all our required compliance files. Over the years she has systemized the operations for client reviews, prospect marketing, client updates, tracking monthly production and important client dates such as birthdays and anniversaries. She also oversees and implements dedicated events such as seminars and client dinners. In addition to the advertising and marketing, she also manages the day-to-day finances, monthly and quarterly tax liabilities, as well as all other general office responsibilities. As compliance oversight in the industry has evolved, she has managed the shifting landscape of our corporate communications and record keeping. Kristie is enthusiastic about serving each client with the utmost integrity and professionalism. She helps clients with technology issues and assists with setting up their online client account access. Kristie also acts as a liaison for client updates such as address changes with many of the different companies we represent.
During her time with Financial Strategies of Lake Norman, Kristie has attained her Life and Health Insurance license as well as her Notary Public license. She has also been actively involved with the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce, serving as the Vice-Chair of their Membership Programs and Services Division in the year 2000, and Chairperson for the BusinessWorks program in 1999. Kristie was awarded the "Starette Service Award - Outstanding Board Member of The Year" award for the work she did during her tenure for the year 2000.
Since an early age, Kristie has been passionate about horses. She started riding at the age of five and has explored many different disciplines for pleasure and competition. She currently has three retired horses that reside at her small farm in Mooresville. She enjoys spending time in the barn among nature and living farm life. She and her husband Todd also have two Walker Treeing Coonhounds and a deaf cat. They were all rescues that found their adoptive parents, not the other way around. Kristie enjoys different genres of music and loves attending outdoor concerts. Her most recent creative outlet is a weekly pottery class at a local gallery.
